Cricket & Corruption

Well, everybody would accept that corruption in a game is absolutely destroys its lifeline, fair competition. It's absolutely ridiculous to even think that players do not play for their potential due to the greediness for money, especially even when they represent their country. Why? people would ask. How, when, where prosecutors would ask but no body would try to understand or address the underline cause.

Especially in third world countries, most of the times the whole system is corrupted and money sometimes govern everything, even sometimes the top rulers' decisions. Unfortunately, there is no exception for Sri Lanka as well.

If the corruption exist from top of the state to the down, why we expect sportsmen alone to be clean, why only Cricketers??? no. Even they would also think that they need to capitalize the opportunity. How many people are clearly clean enough to stand against those acts. I would say, it would be far lower than we even can imagine.

Therefore, I believe if we want to stop corruption to penetrate in to the game we love, we need to raise the voice and act against any form of corruption and make it a principal policy that all political groups would have to adopt. I think we have very short time to witness even Sri Lankan team also to be in the spotlight of corruption. Therefore, if we love the game, let's try as we can to stop corruption in our country which would be a small step but collectively would be a giant leap.

Sri Lanka, zindabad!!!!!

  1. Yes Manoj....... You are 100% correct. When Sportsmen especially Cricketers involved in match fixing then it is a big issue to us. But we are not keen about major corruptions in the country. This is a very good start and I think this thing need to be discussed in detail in the future.

  2. well well . .. .
bro . . let me take it in this way . ..

    We all are in F***ing Damn Race . .. . !

In this kind of world e’one want to be Rich . . .

There are only 2 ways of be rich (as I feel)
    1. One is Good way which is hard
    2. The other one is Bad way which is easy

    a. People who’s got courage, kind soul and strong back bone they choose good way

    b. People who’s are lack of personality, soul and back bone they select bad way

    I. People who selected the Good way, they do good job, side business, or go abroad to
make there dreams come true and same time they raise there voice against any kind of corruption cuz they hate corruption.

II. People who select the bad way also they do business and since they are business people they don’t want to raise there voice against any kind of corruption cuz they don’t want to make a enemy to their business and they don’t want to loose a customer. And same time since they do not have strong back bone and heart, they don’t care what corruption can make. They only need there share after corruption destroys the whole bulk . ..

This is what my feeling . . .

Anyway we (u, me and few more) who selected the good way, we will raise our voice against corruption till our last drop . ..

Very good post mate . .

well-done and sorry for my bad English since I m so bad in English literature . . . !
